Abstract works focus on the relationship between structure, matter, light, and presence, where the surface of the painting becomes a space of their coexistence.
Compositions are constructed using grounds, textured compounds, and mineral elements, introducing weight and structure. In relation to these, the light of precious metals—gold, silver, and platinum—appears as a variable element, activated through interaction with the viewer.
In selected works, gold covers the entire surface, becoming a field for engraved inscriptions, juxtaposed with a matte, almost velvety structure of the frame or background. In others, the relationship unfolds between texture and a subdued, flat plane.
The works develop through an internal sense of proportion, harmony, and aesthetics, where formal decisions arise from a direct engagement with material. The structure of the work emerges gradually as a result of concentration and sustained presence within the process.
